Oscillating saw blades are available in semi-circular, circular, and plunge cutting designs. Straight blades produce deep flush cuts and cut-outs for switches, outlets, hardwood floors, trim, and molding. Precise linear cuts in plaster, wood, and drywall can be created using circular and semi-circular blades. These attachments are ideal for cutting openings in flooring for venting. Depending on the number and arrangement of teeth, saw blades can produce smooth cuts (higher TPI) or rough rip cuts (lower TPI). Blade materials are high speed steel and high carbon steel for slicing through soft materials or bi-metal for composites and metals.
Scraper oscillating tool blades help you get rid of stubborn dried construction adhesives, silicone, stickers, and old carpeting without hours of tedious manual work with a putty knife. Scraper blades are available in a number of configurations: stiff or flexible, sharp or blunt, straight or offset. Sharp untoothed scarper blades will be indispensable for slicing through rusted and unwieldy fasteners. Cutting and grinding oscillating tool blades feature carbide or diamond tips, enabling them to remove grout, mortar, or even cut through ceramic tiles. Triangle and finger-shaped carbide rasps are used for rough sanding applications.
